  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, and device information collected automatically.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies to ensure the website functions properly. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

  • Process payments through Stripe when you subscribe to our services.

10. The Opengolf Mobile App

This section applies to the Opengolf mobile app for iPhone and Apple Watch. With your permission, the app collects and uses the following information to provide its features:

  • Account information: your name and email address when you sign in with email, Google, or Apple, managed through Firebase Authentication.
  • Precise location (GPS): used to show distances, hole maps, and shot tracking while you play. Location is used while the app is in use and, if you allow it, in the background during a round. We do not sell your location data.
  • Health and activity data: with your permission, step counts for a round are read from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android. This data is associated with your round and is not used for advertising.
  • Camera and motion sensors: used only on your device for the optional shot tracer and slope / plays-like rangefinder. Camera frames are processed locally for ball-flight tracing and are not uploaded unless you choose to save or share an image.
  • Photos: when you save or share a round or shot image, the app may add it to your photo library.
  • Round and gameplay data: scores, shots, clubs, distances, and round history, stored to your account.
  • Usage and diagnostic data: in-app events used to understand feature usage and improve the app.
  • Subscription data: your Opengolf Pro subscription status and purchase history, managed through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store.

You can grant or revoke location, health, camera, motion, and photo permissions at any time in your device settings. Disabling a permission may limit the related features.

The mobile app relies on the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Apple: App Store purchases and subscriptions, Apple Maps, and HealthKit.
  • Google Firebase: authentication, database, and product analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase / GA4).
  • RevenueCat: subscription management.
  • Stripe: payment processing for venue bookings made in the app.
  • Meta (Facebook): the Meta App Events SDK, used for install attribution and measurement.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
